The Sullivan City Pool closed in 2018 and looked like it might stay that way. Instead the city rebuilt it, and the pool reopened in 2022. Two water slides, a diving board, and rock climbing walls rise off the deep end, with a lily-pad walkway and a kiddy pool for the youngest swimmers.
There’s a sun deck and a bath house, and the slides and the rock walls are not the kids’ alone. Climb the wall, drop off the end, and come up grinning. Through the summer the pool runs free swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics. It’s the full pool day, right in town on South Main Street.
The pool rents out for parties too. A designated event space, shaded seating, picnic tables, and lounge chairs make it an easy pick for birthday parties, team events, and private rentals, with the rest of the pool right there. Ask about party dates when you call.
The pool is open for the summer season, Memorial Day through the start of school, then just the weekends through Labor Day. Hours shift with the season and the weather, so call ahead before you load up the towels.
