Hymera has a library of its own, and the town built it. When the county bookmobile stopped coming in 1982, people from Hymera and the countryside around it set out to replace it, and in 1986 they opened the Hymera Community Library at 114 S. Main Street. It has run on community support ever since and marked forty years in 2026. The doors are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 1 to 5 and Saturday mornings from 9 to noon.
