There’s almost always something going on here. The downtown Sullivan square fills up for the Corn Festival in September, the lake runs three-day festivals from Memorial Day through Halloween, and Dugger throws its Coal Festival every fall.
Cruise the Square brings everybody downtown one Saturday night at the end of summer to cruise the square like we did back in high school, Halloween on the Square fills the evening with trick-or-treaters in late October, and a Victorian Christmas on the Square closes the year in December. Check the calendar for dates and times, and make a weekend of it.
